Frequently Asked Questions:
Are you planning any future updates?
Yes. At the beginning of each year the list will be refreshed with new positions but the number of typefaces will not change.
In addition, a 120+ page PDF is in development containing a direct comparison of the free and paid typefaces. The document will also include the proposed use of the typeface and its underlying tone of voice.
Where are the scripted typefaces?
Script or handletter typefaces can provide emphasis or enhance and distinguish a short phrase, but are not appropriate for longer forms of text. The list includes positions that have wider versatility of use.
